De MX40 staat de gebruiker toe   om enkele kanalen of combinaties van kanalen in staat te stellen om een vergelijking te krijgen van individuele microfoonplaatsen tegenover de ruimte van het gemiddelde genomen veelvoudige microfoontests.

Elk van de 4 kanalen heeft een gain  control om het voor de gebruiker mogelijk te maken om het inputniveau van verschillende plaatsen aan te passen.

De MX40 kan gebruikt worden met alle 1/3 octave Real Time Analyzers en met de meeste andere populaire modellen. 
The MX40 allows the user to enable single channels or any combination of channels, allowing for comparison of individual microphone locations versus the spatially averaged data from multiple microphone tests. Each of the four channels has a gain control to allow the user to match the input level from different locations. The MX40 can be used with all 1/3 octave Real Time Analyzers and with most other popular models.
